INGREDIENTS
  1. 16 oz pizza dough ball

  2. 4  oz shredded mozzarella cheese

  3. 1 oz grated parmesan cheese

  4. 1 egg + 1 TBSP water, combined and beaten

  5. 8 oz preferred cheese (mozzarella recommended)

  6. 1 1/2 cup filling (pepperoni, sausage, etc)

  7. Olive oil

  8. Italian seasoning

RECIPE
  1. ​​Thaw Lamonica's Pizza Dough ball according to directions.

  2. Preheat oven to 500 degrees. 

  3. Place dough on lightly floured surface and roll dough into a flat 10 inch round.

  4. Spread your favorite filling and cheese evenly over the dough round, making sure to leave a 1 inch border around the edge.

  5. Brush the edges with the egg + water wash and then fold the other half of the dough circle over mixture, leaving the bottom 1/2 inch border uncovered.

  6. Press edges of dough together and pinch to seal.

  7. Cut 5 steam vents in top of calzones and brush tops with remaining egg wash. 

  8. Bake in the oven for 8 minutes, then remove. Brush top with remaining egg wash, then sprinkle with grated parmesan and italian seasoning. Bake for an additional 5 minutes.

  9. Remove from oven, then brush with olive oil. 

  10. Let rest and cool for 5 minutes. Slice and serve with preferred dipping sauce.
